If you're unsure which length to order, here's a simple method to help you find the perfect length:
Use a String: Take a piece of string or a thin strip of paper and wrap it around your neck, holding it at the spot where you want the necklace to sit.
Measure the String: Once you've found the right spot, remove the string and measure it using a ruler or tape measure. This measurement will give you an indication of the length to order.

Orders
Production & Shipping Time
PLEASE NOTE: Production and shipping times may be delayed during and after our Sitewide Sales.
Production
Orders begin processing on the next business day. Orders without personalized or fine jewelry ship within 3 business days, while orders containing personalized or fine jewelry require up to 7 business days for production. Pre-order items ship separately from other items in your order.
Shipping
Once production is complete, orders ship via USPS with an estimated delivery time of 3-5 business days. Expedited options, including UPS 2-Day and UPS Overnight, are also available. For fine jewelry, the 7 business day production time still applies before items can be shipped with expedited service.
VALENTINE'S DAY ORDERING CUTOFFS
Orders placed after Feb 5th are not guaranteed for delivery by Valentine's Day unless expedited shipping is selected.

Changing Or Canceling Orders
We begin the jewelry-making process immediately, so changes to your order may not be possible. If production or shipping has not started, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
While we cannot guarantee changes or cancellations, please email love@jamesmichelle.com as soon as possible with your full name and order number to request assistance
Price Adjustments
We do not offer price adjustments on any orders, including pieces purchased shortly before a sale.
International Orders
We ship internationally. However, the customer is responsible for all import duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and customs fees due at delivery. Packing slips for international shipments cannot be marked as a "gift" or with altered prices. If shipment is rejected by the recipient, they will be charged the return fee. We are not responsible for any shipments held by international customs agencies. Please check with your country's customs office to determine their procedures and any additional charges.
Rush Orders
We offer UPS 2nd Day Air and UPS Next Day Air for expedited shipping; however, we do not offer rush production for jewelry.
Warranty
Warranty
We offer a one-year warranty covering material and workmanship defects on all jewelry, along with a lifetime color warranty for our Forever Gold Collection. This warranty excludes lost items, normal wear and tear, and damage from improper use or storage. Fine jewelry includes a lifetime warranty with repair or replacement for material or workmanship issues. For warranty requests, please email love@jamesmichelle.com.
Please note our warranty policies are void if you take your jewelry to another jeweler for repairs or modifications. This includes taking your jewelry to a different jeweler for resizing or other work.

Repairs
Under warranty, we'll repair or replace your jewelry if any damage to the material or the workmanship of the jewelry occurs. However, we do not offer repairs outside of warranty.
Returns and Exchanges
Returns & Exchanges
We offer returns on eligible items for exchange or store credit only; refunds are not available. Returns must be initiated within 30 days of the order date, and items must be clean, unworn, and free from signs of wear or damage.
VALENTINE'S DAY EXTENDED RETURN PERIOD
Purchases made between Jan 12th, 2025 and Feb 14th, 2025 will have an extended return period through March 31st, 2025.
Sets must be returned or exchanged as a complete set, not individually.
- To start a return, please visit our Returns & Exchanges Portal with your order number and shipping zip code. Returns may take up to 14 days to process, and a $6 return/exchange fee applies.
Final Sale Items
- Personalized Jewelry: Hand-stamped or engraved items are final sale.
- Fine Jewelry: All fine jewelry is final sale; please confirm sizing before purchase.
Lost Orders, Incorrect Items, Damaged Items
If your order has not arrived within 15 days of placing your order, or if you received a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us at love@jamesmichelle.com with your order number and a description of the issue.
Jewelry Care
Caring for your Jewelry
Gold Fill, Plated, & Sterling Silver Jewelry:
Our jewelry holds up very well if cared for properly (see our tips below). When jewelry does not hold up well, it often has to do with our skin chemistry or the piece of jewelry reacting with another substance or metal in a way that degrades the finish.
Care tips:
Avoid water exposure (tap water, pools, saunas, beaches) to prevent oxidation.
Let lotions and perfumes absorb before wearing jewelry.
Clean with a soft cloth; for deeper cleaning, soak in warm soapy water and gently dry.
Avoid harsh antibacterial soaps.
Use only high-quality, non-toxic cleaners. We recommend Shinery products. Using non-approved cleaners will void your warranty.
Store separately in a dry, safe place—avoid humid areas like bathrooms.
Solid Gold Jewelry & Forever Gold (Waterproof & Non-Tarnish) Jewelry:
Care tips:
Although our Solid Gold & Waterproof Jewelry is designed for everyday wear, a little care goes a long way.
Limit over application of cosmetics, perfumes & body products that may cause build-up on your jewelry.
Wipe with a soft cloth to remove oils and buildup.
Clean with water or detergent-free soap like Shinery and fully dry before storing. Using non-approved cleaners will void your warranty.
Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive materials that can scratch or damage jewelry.
Exposing Jewelry to Water
CAN I WEAR MY JEWELRY IN WATER?
Unless you have purchased Solid Gold or Forever Gold (Waterproof & Non-Tarnish) Jewelry, which is designed to be waterproof, it is best to avoid exposing your jewelry to water. The minerals/chemicals in tap water, pools, saunas, beaches, etc. will cause jewelry to oxidize quickly.
Tarnishing
All precious metals can tarnish with wear. Our jewelry holds up very well if cared for properly (see our care guide above). When jewelry does not hold up well, it often has to do with our skin chemistry or the piece of jewelry reacting with another substance or metal in a way that degrades the finish.

Some materials like pearls, gems, crystals, and stones are natural entities; therefore no two pieces are exactly the same.
