NORTH SHORE
THE BEST PLACE TO SNORKEL ON THE NORTH SHORE

The warm, clear waters in Hawaii makes it perfect for snorkeling. So whether you're a novice or experienced snorkler, here's our top three locations in the North Shore to literally get your feet wet.
1. Sharks Cove: Contrary to the name, rest assured that no sharks are found here. This top visited spot is popular in the summer when the waves are flat. Swim out and keep on alert for schools of fish, octopuses, sea turtles and thriving coral.
2. Kuilima Cove: If you're new to snorkeling make this your stop. It's located inside the grounds of Turtle Bay Resort in a placid lagoon making it idyllic to avoid large swells but still see plenty of fish. Plus, then you can stop at the resort for lunch or dinner after!
3. Waimea Bay Beach Pack: One of the most renowned beaches on the North Shore for its sandy shoreline, visit here to get the best of snorkeling and sunbathing. The calm water makes it excellent for snorkeling while the wide beach is perfect for sunsoaking. It's also home to one of the most legendary cliff jumping rocks: Waimea Bay Rock.
4. Hale'iwa Beach Park: Dive in if you want to explore calm, clear turquoise waters with the possibility of seeing tropical fish, turtles, eels, manta rays and hidden treasures from past shipwrecks that occured in the area. This location also is an extensive park with picnic tables, bathrooms and showers so you can spend an entire day in the area with convenience!
