EXPLORE NORTH SHORE OAHU'S COASTAL CHARM
When shell jewelry started making a splash on fashion runways, we were overjoyed (and flattered!) that the oceanic influence that's always been at the core of our brand was getting the attention it deserves. So for this summer season, we leaned in heavily to our seaside nature.
That's why we're inviting you to view the newest styles through the coastal charm of the small North Shore town of Hale'iwa. There we explored all the local hot spots, both secret and known, and are sharing our travel guide tips with you!

The small town offers a true glimpse of slow-living island life
GETTING THERE
Fly into Honolulu and either Uber or rent a car. Honolulu is located on one of the most beautiful Hawaiian Islands, O’ahu. Hawaiian Airlines is preferred by locals and is the largest operator of commercial flights to and from the island state. However, you can find flights on most major US airlines: Delta, United, American, Alaska, and Southwest.
ACCOMODATION
You can’t beat renting a Hale’iwa beach house. There are a handful of unique (tiny homes, camper vans) and traditional (condos, apartments) AirBnB options to pick from along with the luxury Turtle Bay Resort. We stayed at an AirBnB in Waialua (adjacent to Hale’iwa) that was steps away from a beach where sea turtles are often spotted.
TRANSPORTATION
A rental car is preferred to be able to enjoy the many beaches and sights in the area. However, there are other fun options to explore depending on your comfort level! Mopeds, bikes and e-bikes are available for rent to get around at a more adventurous level. Go With Stoke rents mopeds and will bring them to where you are staying. At Hawaiimoped.com you’ll find moped rentals and a moped and scooter map with several great ride routes. North Shore Bike Rentals has a great selection of bikes and will bring your bike to you.
ACTIVITIES
There is no shortage of O’ahu activities and beaches to comb for shells and other seafolly, including the famous beaches of Waimea Bay, Ehukai (Banzai Pipeline) and Sunset Beach. While you're there, sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, surfing and kayaking are ways to make the most of sun, sand and saltwater! Salty hair, no cares really becomes our motto. If you're feeling like a day spent away from the water, we recommend a visit to North Shore Stables where you can go on horseback or ATV riding along the coastline.
DINING & FOOD
It's highly recommended to have some groceries and snacks on hand since a lot of restaurants and eateries are on island time, meaning they close early and often do not deliver even via online delivery or food apps like DoorDash, GrubHub, and UberEats. For larger grocery hauls, if you're renting a car to drive from Honolulu airport, you can stop at known chains like Costco, Whole Foods, or local to the island, Foodland. Still, there are a lot of North Shore favorites for coffee and lunch that offer Hawaiian flavors. We love Island Vintage Coffee for their Island Latte, Sunrise Shack for their Papaya Bowl, and Haleiwa Seafood for their fish tacos and fresh coconut water served out of a coconut. To cool down, you can't go wrong with shaved ice at Matsumoto Shave Ice and to treat yourself, we love a cocktail and dinner at Off the Lip bar inside Turtle Bay Resort.
SHOPPING
We love visiting the local shops on the Hale’iwa Highway. Here you will find small boutiques, surf shops, and art galleries. The two-lane street is dotted with vibrant, wooden plantation-style buildings from the early 1900s.
